510 HP; twin-turbocharged flat six | Bodywork inspired by Type 930 Porsche 911 | Coupe, cabriolet or targa body styles may be reimagined.
The Pioneer Reborn. Singer’s next chapter explored the turbocharged heritage of the Porsche 911. Classic Turbo services are a response to requests from owners for restoration services that incorporate turbocharging and celebrate the iconic 930 Turbo launched in 1975.
Each restoration is unique and begins with the owner’s Type 964 Porsche 911.
Classic Turbo services can be seen at Singer’s main stand in front of the Stableyard.
Porsche 911s reimagined through Classic Turbo services are powered by an evolution of its original Mezger flat-six engine. Twin turbochargers with variable turbine geometry and air-water intercooling boost output to 510HP and displacement has been expanded to 3.8 litres. A Singer specific exhaust system has been specified and can be crafted in titanium if desired.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, with the help of traction control and electronic stability control developed with Bosch.

The process begins when the owner of a Type 964 Porsche 911 sends their car to Singer with the request to carry out a personalized restoration. The owner’s car is carefully disassembled. The interior is removed, as is the exterior bodywork and all mechanical components, until the steel monocoque (chassis) is revealed. The chassis is painstakingly assessed, cleaned, strengthened, and prepared so that it is in optimal condition for the next stages of the restoration.
Bespoke carbon fiber body panels are fitted, reimagining iconic design details from the Porsche’s Type 930 such as the impact bumpers, whale tail spoiler and ‘shark fin’ along the side of the vehicle, while simultaneously reducing weight and enhancing chassis stiffness. A cabriolet restored through Classic Turbo services also benefits from chassis strengthening developed in collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Engineering, resulting in a formation of 13 carbon fiber structures that are bonded to the chassis and increase structural rigidity by 175%.
